In the area of infection control, many employers are nervous about fulfilling their duty of care to their employees in the litigious environment of today. It is therefore important that individual employees are aware of their personal responsibilities for their own welfare and safety, and manage their personal approach to infection control in a responsible and accountable manner.

This thinking has led to the development of our PIC Pack system of personal Infection Control. This system has been designed specifically for the emergency services personnel by the emergency services. The PIC pack concept is equally transferable to other workplaces or industry sectors where there is a requirement or risk of personal infection or infection transfer.

• PIC Pack has been designed in conjunction with the Fire and Rescue Service and Ambulance Service to meet the specific needs of the emergency services
• PIC Pack is provided in a personal and palm sized pack that can be carried for use during normal operations to minimise the risk of personal infection
• PIC Pack is provided with a range of the most advanced and effective personal protection items including wipes, washes and sprays, as well as personal protective equipment such as gloves and safety glasses
• PIC Pack can be provided as part of a personal infection control system to raise employee awareness and understanding of their personal responsibilities for minimising the risk of transfer of infection.
• An infection control system allowing easy replenishment of PIC pack products whilst continuing to monitor awareness of infection control by employees
• An infection control system that through registration and replenishment of the pack enables evaluation and audit of personal awareness and understanding of infection control.

The registration process requires the employee to provide contact details so that the PIC Pack monitoring system can then regularly update individuals with the latest news about infection control as well as monitoring use of infection control products within the pack. Indeed if our clients so wish, they can outsource the ongoing PIC Pack stock support to us, and we can send requested items to the individuals directly if they so wish.
