Included in our approach is the use of Zimek's Micro-Mist® Technology, the most effective Dry Vapour Decontamination (DVD) infection control system available. Throughout the process of vehicle and room decontamination and sterilisation, this system does not requires the use of harmful chemicals and disinfectants used in other DVD systems such as hydrogen peroxide, chlorine or ozone based disinfectants.

Zimek’s Micro-Mist® is used extensively by both public health and blue light emergency services across the world to significantly reduce the risk of transfer of infectious diseases and enhance their overall infectious disease control capabilities. Zimek is specified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to eradicate dangerous and infectious bacteria, viruses, and toxic mould including MRSA (the "Superbug"), Hepatitis C, the Norwalk Virus, and the Bird Flu.

• Zimek kills MRSA, Hepatitis C, Clostridium difficile, VRE, Bird Flu and other associated infections
• Zimek sterilises all indoor air and disinfects all indoor surfaces with microscopic particulates of less than one micron

The decontamination and sterilisation process takes as little as 20 minutes, following which the treated space may be safely re-occupied, and the technology:

• Can be applied as necessary by (easily) trained in-house staff as part of an overall cleaning system including “make ready” and “deep clean”
• Does not require the removal of carpets, curtains, electronic or operational equipment as the system use has no corrosive effect
• Tested in the UK by the Health and Safety Executive Laboratory achieving highly impressive kills for all infectious bacteria

The Zimek System

Zimek's Dry-Mist® Micro-Particle Generator has been developed to activate Zimek's revolutionary and safe Dri-Mist® Treatment by converting Zimek's EPA-registered disinfectants into a vaporous flurry of disinfecting micro-particle bullets with the power to kill dangerous invisible indoor microscopic environmental contaminants. It can be easily moved to all treatment locations and is as simple to use as an ATM machine.

Zimek's Dri-Mist® Micro-Particle Generator will safely and automatically deliver the Dri-Mist® Treatment to locations within an environment unreachable by any other disinfectant or sterilant delivery systems

Z-vac® Micro-Particle Evacuator The Z-vac® Micro-Particle Evacuator is essentially a mobile "clean-room" filter. The Z-vac® is designed to work in conjunction with Zimek's Dri-Mist® Micro-Particle Generator for indoor non-vehicular treatments to allow rapid re-occupation of a "Dri-Mist" treated room.

The Z-vac® is a high-tech mobile air filtration system that uses high volume air movement through two proprietary multi-staged filters. The volume of air within a treated space will be "scrubbed" multiple times to remove airborne environmental contaminants (e.g., pollen, dust, pet dander, and volatile organic compounds). The high volume Z-vac® filtration process removes particulate matter as small as 0.3 microns from the air and aids in rapid adhesion of the remaining Dri-Mist® micro-particles to all three-dimensional surfaces within a treated space, wherever free air flows.

Activation of the Z-vac® is controlled automatically by the Micro-Particle Generator via an umbilical control cord.

When Z-vac® is attached, the Micro-Particle Generator automatically acknowledges the presence of the Z-vac® and enables the Z-vac® to be quickly and automatically programmed. An exterior selection switch also allows for "MANUAL ON/OFF OPERATION" if desired. The Z-vac® automatically cleanses the air in the Dri-Mist® treated environment at the conclusion of the Dri-Mist® Cycle.

Z-vac® Filters Z-vac® Filters consist of high-performance proprietary multi-staged filters which should be replaced whenever the Z-vac's filter replacement indicator warning light is illuminated.

Z-OdorizerT Discs Zimek's Z-OdorizerT discs use a deodorizing technology that produce a pleasant and long lasting clean fragrance for use in Zimek's Z-vac.T The Z-OdorizerT Discs can also be used in air movers, ducts, or wherever deodorization is desired.

Zimek’s Disinfectants The Zimek System may be used with a broad range of sterilants and disinfectants. Zimek's preferred decontamination applications utilizes Zimek's disinfectants which are EPA-registered and specially-formulated to kill a wide range of environmental contaminants.
